It's time once again to click off the remote, dust off the crumbs, and stretch your legs with the rest of our community as we walk to fight hunger.
This year, Northwest Washington and some 2,000 cities and towns nationwide are joining together in interfaith community CROP Walks around the theme "Walking Together." Many of the CROP Walkers will be wearing "Walking Together" T-shirts, proclaiming their solidarity with the millions of neighbors around the world who have to walk to live - as well as with the millions served by local food pantries, food banks, and meal sites here in the U.S.

The CROP Walk will take place on Sunday, October 8th, at 12:30pm at the Columbian Club and Baha'i Center at 2913 W. Marine View Dr. in Everett. The route is approximately 3 miles. Individuals, groups, faith groups, and businesses are all invited to participate.

75% of the funds raised at Crop Walk '06 will go to the programs of Church World Service. For more information on CWS, please visit their website at www.churchworldservice.org In addition, 25% of the funds raised will go toward Interfaith Association programs related to reducing hunger right here in Northwest Washington.

We're gearing up for Auction '07, a celebration of the Sensational Sixties, to be held at the brand new Lynnwood Convention Center on February 10th, 2007.
